In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine cult.

The mission centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an unique katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
